Stijl is de Basis was founded by two passionate individuals with a deep love for graffiti and street art. Run entirely non-profit, this initiative is dedicated to promoting these art forms and creating a welcoming space for artists to express their creativity, connect, and collaborate.

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our partners. Special thanks to Lawa Hemp for helping cover the costs of wall preparation and providing food and drinks for the artists, and to De Achtertuin for assisting with permits and offering a space for relaxation.

Our mission is simple: to bring graffiti and street art into public spaces and inspire more creative initiatives in Nijmegen, a city filled with untapped potential and fantastic walls for painting.

The 2024 edition brought together talented artists from around the world, creating a vibrant and international atmosphere. Thanks to the support of Skatepark Valhalla, Monter, and the team at Vasim, we overcame challenges and delivered a truly memorable event.

Stijl is de Basis isn’t just an event—it’s a platform to elevate graffiti as an art form, transform public spaces, and support artists in their creative journeys.
